A couple of years ago I ruptured the flexor tendon to my left thumb tip and was left with a flexible but basically straight joint. I have been waiting to have further surgery to fix the joint in a slightly flexed position (more functional for picking things up). This happened on the 9th january; this being my preferred time as there is a dearth of fairs etc just after Christmas. However part of this fusion/fixing process involves it being pinned and as a result no driving/lifting for six weeks. I intend to spend time with my tax return and also improving my website.
